Today we met up to take some higher quality photos of the cable car lane. I brought my DSLR to take the photos. Was a quick catch up to take these and then I would upload them onto the shared google drive.

We chose to retake the images down the lane because we wanted the photos to look more like a cohesive piece of work when we photoshopped them all together.

Here are a couple of images from the shoot:

Yesterday we as group did some prototyping on seeing if using the giant letters as a 'ink pad' and the bike as the 'stamp'.

We bought water based paint that was in solid blocks and crushed them, and mixed with water as best we could, to create a watery paste that we could spread an use to transfer around the paper with the letter on it.
Once we got a decent texture, we put the paint mixture in the letters, making sure to spread a fair bit and leave enough so that it could transfer onto the bike wheel. We then removed the tape surround the letter and ran the big through the paint.

This was successful as the paint spread around the paper and bike wheel creating the bike tread pattern. It was an added bonus as the paint from the letter didn't mix to much and kept most of its original colour.

So today in class we where testing how big would we want the text to be on the ground, and what would be the most effective size. We printed out a few different sizes and the noticed the one that was closest to A1 size was still to small and having one larger than A0 would be great size because we would have a lot of space to work with.
